Ipswich Town Defeat Smith & Crawley 2-1
Bermuda’s Jonte Smith and Crawley Town were handed a 2-1 defeat by Championship side Ipswich Town in a pre-season friendly last night [July 10]. The two sides met up at the Broadfield Stadium, with Jonte Smith being brought on during the second half of the match.
Daryl Murphy scored in the 9th minute to put Ipswich Town up 1-0, and then David McGoldrick doubled Ipswich’s advantage from the penalty spot in the 51st minute. Nicky Adams pulled one back for Crawley with a 20-yard effort in the 64th minute, and the match ended with Ipswich taking a 2-1 victory.
