Photos/Videos: Island Games Beach Volleyball

The 2013 NatWest Island Games beach volleyball continued on Monday [July 15], with matches being played at the National Sports Centre in Devonshire where sand has been trucked in to recreate a beach.

The Cayman Islands 1 men’s team defeated the British Crown dependency of Jersey 2 – 1 in three sets [21-19, 18-21 and 15-13] in 56 minutes of play.

At 5.00pm the Cayman Islands women’s team shut out the Swedish island of Gotland with a final result of 2 – 0. They played two sets [21-14 and 21-18] in 49 minutes of play.

At 11am, the Bermuda 1 women’s team went down to Cayman Islands 0 – 2 in a two set match [11-21 and 15-21] in 37 minutes of play.
