TROIKA Hope To Raise Funds With Tag Days
TROIKA will be having their first tag days at various locations in and around the city on Friday [July 12] and Saturday [July 13].
The tag days will help to raise funds to aid in their various programs for young artists and initiatives in the community. Persons that would like to donate to the charity but cannot get out to the tag days can also contribute through the group’s donation page.
“TROIKA Bermuda is a registered Bermuda Charity [#874] and it’s the group’s mission to educate, enlighten and entertain by producing significant theatre experiences, which are presented by a creative ensemble of young people who embody the highest professional caliber”, a spokesperson said.
“TROIKA members believe that art, fun and education work in tandem as these variables help to cultivate young minds and afford opportunities to young people to learn about their history, invaluable life lessons and necessary values.
“For our creative pieces, TROIKA uses original and professional works that highlight the positive elements of our society. TROIKA provides training and a forum for young Bermudian artists to hone their craft.
“TROIKA hopes that through the arts, our community and cultural lifestyle is enhanced by the recognition and celebration of the human spirit and its uniqueness.
“TROIKA is a multi-faceted organization with other worthwhile initiatives known as the TROIKA Charitable Pillars:

- Theatrical Exposure & Appreciation Tour
- TROIKA Theatrical Tour
“Proceeds raised from the “Keep the Arts Alive!” fundraising campaign will go to support TROIKA Bermuda’s performance at The 2013 National Black Theatre Festival, Bermuda Glee and the organizations overall programming. We would also like to thank the public for their support thus far as we continue to invest into Bermuda’s young artists”.
