          • Sir George Somers says:

Whereas the PLP promised feck all at the election, cos they know they couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery!

          • Barracuda says:

I thought the reason the OBA won was the fact that PLP voters didn’t turn up to vote, now you’re saying everyone ran to the OBA because of their promises. SMH

    • Victor says:

It was a dumb investment to begin – brought to BDA by some cronies of the last regime with a grudge against BAS, a legitimate Bermuda company.

    • Barracuda says:

      keep sucking that lemon LMAO

    • 2000 Jobs and more coming says:

The only people that are getting the 2000+ OBA jobs that were promised are people affiliated with the party. After the 2000 friends and family get their jobs, you will get yours.

        • Sir George Somers says:

Two wrongs don’t make a right I’m afraid!

      • What a joke says:

Take out silly Corey lets just say his 12 month contract will be no more. He might want to practice packing at Lindo’s or Market Place soon.

      • Hey says:

You know people have been getting jobs since December 17th don’t you! 3 Bermudians have started working in my workplace since that date.

    • Bazumbo says:

Let’s count how many jobs the pop cost the people of this country. Hmmmm…4,000?

    • Um Um Like says:

And you’re still falling for the plp!

  3. Tommy Chong says:

What was that you said Dr. Gibbons? Prescribe yourself some imodium & maybe something solid will come out next time.

  4. Former Liars says:

Ha plp bs here. This was only set up before election smokescreen time to make the green koolaid drinkers believe they were about to get a huge volume of tourists here, in reality, it was for the friends and family plans…….say how all those drywallers making out Patrice?

    • Time Shall Tell says:

Please know your facts before spewing such garbage.

  5. Painfully Watching says:

Dont worry folks – OBA to the rescue…Andrew Brooks as a nice job so I am sure there are more to follow…cant wait..oh boy!!

  6. Terry says:

    Damn there goes my supply.

  7. Their facility is very nice, but it’s in a very poor location. Those in the know knew this would fail from day one. Feel sorry for the employees..

    • Raymond Ray says:

I agree “Sanity Clause” anyone knows when it comes down to land value it’s location, location and location that makes it worth something.
I know of a family that fly in quite often in their own plane and I’ve heard it from them on numerous occasion that it’s the location of that terminal that prevents them from parking there. Mind you, in appearance it is far-more pleasant to look upon than the other terminal along the Ferry Reach stretch, but it is too far off and that’s unfortunately the problem…

  8. Sharp says:

Why do people keep referring to this Andrew Brooks guy? Can someone please fill me in. :\

    • Vote For Me says:

He is the person hired to promote golf tourism for Bermuda without the position being advertised to see if there was a suitable Bermudian available. I think he will be based on the US Eat Coast.

  9. oh really says:

The official count must be around -300 job loses in the last 3 months. At this rate I’ll have to move to the UK or marry an American. The titanic is sinking…

    • Time Shall Tell says:

At least our premier still has plenty of smiles to go around for all of his photo shoots… Maybe, just maybe he’ll finally find the time to fulfill that “vote for 2,000 jobs” campaign promise. Or it could be that was for 2,000 job losses & everyone thought it meant 2,000 new jobs….

      • Time Shall Tell says:

If it is for 2,000 job losses then the OBA are well on their way to fulfilling their quota.

        • E$ says:

Y’all are a bunch of sorry haters. Guess where all these losses came from…ya the last 14 years you dummies.

  10. 32n64w says:

Yet another PLP insider deal resulting in harm and job losses for Bermudian employees.

Let’s not forget the $million+ taxpayers had to pay for the PLP’s compete mishandling of the BAS+ASB debacle.

Their financial implications of tragic decisions and complete mishandling of taxpayer resources will be held over all of us for decades to come.

PLP – taking food and opportunity out of the mouths of our children for generations.

  12. Nuffin but da Truth says:

The plp started this down turn for Bermuda…NO ONE ELSE!

  13. Full moon in Paradise says:

Agreed. They too were members of the friends and family plan!

  14. margeI says:

I was wondering what minister of the O.B.A WAS GOING TO RESIGN!!!!!and why have we not heard anything else from him or the press ? come on we need to know what the hell is going on….O.B.A GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER…

  15. Y-Gurl says:

All this talk of blaming OBA and the PLP Universal was a business, and how many contracts did they manage to secure and retain…clearly not enough

  16. Alvin Williams says:

Well the anti-Bermudian one term OBA government won the election on two
points. Those who believe that they were going to create the 2000 jobs promise and those who thought that some how they were going to effect the political process by staying away from the polls or as it is most likely former PLP supporters who blame the former PLP government for Bermuda’s economic situation sort to punish that government.
Well it has not yet been six months and jobs continue to be lost; and I have heard many cries of disappointment and delusions; not to mention regret. I have a friend who constantly tells me ‘I am not interested in politics; politic tricks she calls it. I say ok untill this thing hits you directly on your head than you will understand the connection between the political process and your well being. The learning process I am afraid will have to go on.

    • Mike Hind says:

Do you think that repeating this silly catchphrase of yours will make it come true?

It’s pathetic, this tack of yours, acting like six months is enough time to fix the problems caused over the last 14 years.

No one is falling for it, other than all the other propagandists…

  17. Raymond Ray says:

Granted, there are more jobs loss but don’t expect the economy along with the hiring of the “2000″ to take place in 7 to months. One must realize how silly they sound when they continue ranting and raving about, “where are the promised 2000 jobs?”
ALL things will come in due time…
