Junior Tennis Team Arrives In Santo Domingo
The Bermuda Junior Tennis teams arrived in Santo Domingo , Dominican Republic to take part in the JITIC 2013 Tennis Tournament.
Representing Bermuda in the Under 16 Division are Courtland Boyle Jr., Billy Boyle and Nicholas Lines. Competing in the Under 14 Division are Luke Attride-Stirling, Dylon Powell and Ben Lines. The coaches are Jerome Bradshaw and Romar Douglas.
The action will take place at the Club La Bocha which is a private facility in downtown Santo Domingo, there are 8 green clay courts set out in two rows. There is a 25 metre 6 lane lap pool and other supporting buildings to this apparently exclusive club. This is where the Bermuda Under 16 Boys will compete over the next nine days.
Today is the last day of practice with the round robin portion of the JITIC 2013 starting tomorrow morning. This afternoon is final registration with the draw taking place after 6 PM this evening local time. The first goal for the Bermuda team is to do well enough in the Round Robin section to make the Main Draw from which the eventual Champions will come.
The Under 14’s and Coach Douglas are at the East Park preparing for their matches on the hard courts of the National Tennis Center.
