Video: Wells Scores In League One Opening Day

August 3, 2013

[Updated with video] Today [Aug 3] saw the official start of the League One season for Nahki Wells and Bradford City, who took on Bristol City in front of a crowd of over 13,000 people at Ashton Gate.

Bristol City scored first, and Wells scored in the 33rd minute of play to pull Bradford even at 1-1. The two teams went into the break tied, and both sides scored again in the second half to end the game 2-2.

Bradford was promoted to League One following a successful campaign last season, which saw the 23-year-old Bermudian net 26 goals, ending the season as Bradford’s top goal scorer.

Bradford has played a number of pre-season games in the past few weeks, however this was the first official season game following their promotion to the higher league.

Can we get off NW’s chubby one every time he scores? Do you have any idea how bad
Bristol City were last year? Terrible, that’s how bad.

He’s done we’ll for a guy from a small island, but lets not get carried away. Also i am yet to see the role model bit. I see goals in the third and fourth tiers so far, that’s all.

  4. Bermuda Cat says:

    @ Truthful,

You are a real hater. I know him personally, and he is a role model to many. And he has scored against the best England has to offer, so you need to chill for a second.

  5. Ganja mon says:

The hate is real. You can tell @truthful is NOT Bermudian. Must suck to know YOU are a no one special and have the hate in you to knock anest person who is on their way up.
