Police Creative Artwork & Essay Competition
The Bermuda Police Service is inviting entries for the Police Week 2013 Commissioner for a Day creative artwork and essay competition. Students in Primary 1 (P1) to Primary 6 (P6) will be required to draw pictures displaying their impression of community policing.
Students in Middle 1 (M1) to Middle 3 (M3) are required to write an essay (maximum of 350 words) outlining “If I were Police Commissioner I would…”
Students in Senior 1 (S1) to Senior 4 (S4) are required to write an essay (maximum of 500 words) outlining “How can the Bermuda Police Service build partnerships within the community…”
The best artwork and essays will be chosen by a committee and the winners will have the opportunity to ‘shadow’ the highest ranking members of the Police Service as they go about their daily duties. Prizes will be given for the top entries in each category.
Competition rules:
- Artwork & essays must be age appropriate.
- Submissions must include name, age and a daytime contact of parent/guardian.
- Teachers or parents/guardians must deliver artwork or essays to the Public & Media Relations Office in the Hamilton Police Station by 4pm Friday, September 27th.
