Southampton Rangers Win Western County
White Hill Field was the venue for Saturday’s [Aug 10] Western Counties match between Southampton Rangers and PHC, with Southampton Rangers retaining the Western County Cup after they won by 109 runs.
Southampton Rangers batted first and scored 265/7. Captain Dion Stovell was the top scorer with 80, while Janeiro Tucker added 60, Christian Gibbons was on 35 not out when the innings closed. Fiqre Crockwell was the pick of the PHC bowlers with figures of 8-1-32-2, while Ellsworth Bean bowled 7-0-39-2.
In reply PHC were bowled all out for 156, Bean was the top scorer with 47, while Crockwell chipped in with 34. Tucker returned bowling figures of 9-3-19-3 to lead the Southampton Rangers bowling attack, while Dwayne Leverock had figures of 10-2-23-3 and Derrick Brangman restricted PHC with figures of 10-3-15-1.
