Validus Designated Accountant Training Office

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bermuda [ICAB] announced that the Pembroke office of Validus Holdings Ltd. has been designated as a Chartered Accountant Training Office.

Validus is the second non-audit firm on the island to achieve this status, and the company has demonstrated a  commitment to educating its employees and preparing them for successful careers in the insurance industry. In conjunction with this recognition, Validus is launching a program to further train local talent in the insurance practice.

Commenting on the prestigious designation, Validus Chief Financial Officer Jeff Sangster said, “Validus is delighted to be granted this designation and is proud of our role in developing local talent in Bermuda. We are thrilled to announce that we have selected the first student to go through our program, Eric Cabral, who is an exceptionally talented young man. We expect to have several students come through our program in the coming years and are looking forward to helping strengthen our local talent base.”

ICAB President & CEO, Annarita Marion said, “ICAB is pleased to welcome Validus as an alternative training office for Chartered Accounting students. This is an excellent opportunity for students to obtain their designation while learning about the company culture.”
