Athletic Club Set To Host Thinner Winner Contest
In order to help Bermuda shape up and get fit, The Athletic Club is getting set to host their first annual Thinner Winner contest, with the event’s kick off taking place this Saturday, September 21, in Hamilton’s Victoria Park. In order to help send participants off on their weight loss journey, the weekend event will be attended by the Minister of Health Patricia Gordon-Pamplin, Minister of Community Wayne Scott and the Mayor of Hamilton, Graeme Outerbridge.
“We are honoured to help shape up Bermuda and our goal is to help Bermuda lose 1000 pounds and inches over the course of six weeks. We have taken the guesswork out of how to achieve this and will assist all the participants over the course of the program. And the prize for the team that loses the highest percentage of weight and inches lost is $2000!” says Kym Herron Scott, owner of The Athletic Club.
With the ability to sign up as a team or as an individual, anyone on the island is welcome to take part in the event, with full access to The Athletic Club’s facilities included. The club will provide a personal coach for each team, with weekly meetings intended to help you to stay focused and on track, along with a simple and effective food guide to promote healthier eating during the content, twice weekly group power walking sessions, and weekly meetings in Victoria Park with the club’s trainers taking you through a workout routine, all intended to help you to lose pounds and inches quickly and efficiently.
The cost to register for the Thinner Winner contest is $279 per person for individuals or teams of 4-6 people, or $1000 per corporate team. The signup deadline is tonight [Sept 19] at 9 PM; in order to get your team’s name on the list, contact The Athletic Club at 441-295-6140 or via email at admin.tac@logic.bm.
