Women’s Football: Bermuda Win 3-1 In Haiti
[Updated: Bermuda win their opening match 3-1, with goals from Eva Frazzoni, Zahra Gibbons and Deshea Darrell]
The Bermuda U17 Women’s football team is taking on the Dominican Republic this evening [Sept 21] in Haiti, and as of half time Bermuda is leading 2-0, courtesy of first half strikes by Eva Frazzoni and Zahra Gibbons.
The team is competing in the final round of the Caribbean Football Union U17 Women’s Regional World Cup Qualifying Tournament, and has been drawn in Group B alongside the Dominican Republic, Trinidad & Tobago, and Grenada.
This evening’s match against the Dominican Republic is their opening game, and they take on Trinidad & Tobago on September 23rd, and Grenada on September 25th.
Bermuda’s starting lineup for this evening’s game wasKali Lespere [captain], Micah Pond [goalkeeper], Taznae Fubler, Kshaela Burch Waldron, Nasaj Burgess, Sideyah Dill, Aaliyah Nolan, Dezjha Greaves, Leah Smith, Eva Frazzoni and Zahra Gibbons.

Update 6.17pm: The Dominican Republic scored in the second half to make it 2-1.
Update 6.51pm: Bermuda hit back, with substitute Deshea Darrell finding the back of the net to make it 3-1
Update 6.55pm: The game is over, with Bermuda winning 3-1.
