Are they gonna dress up in period costume?… that would most certainly boost sales! You see it all over the world in historic towns, everyone plays their part and dresses in period clothes.
A fantastic idea and wouldn’t it be effective if, as you mentioned, those employed in the various old town businesses would dress in period costume on a regular basis! This idea could easily become a conversation piece and would have the potential of attracting more business to St. George’s.
Stayed in St. George’s in June 2013. I was looking forward to the market especially to purchase fresh vegetables for the week. I was disappointed that the vegetable truck was not there. A lot of items I had seen in photos posted were sold out. However, I will say the baked goods purchased were wonderful. Maybe the Sunday we were there was an off Sunday. This is not meant to be a negative post. Just saying that the fresh vegetables and fruit would have been nice.
Love St. George’s and hope to return again.
