Photos: Haunted House Thrills For Halloween

Scary monsters, goblins and ghouls descended on Cedar Hill last night [Oct 31] in full Halloween celebration and kids of all ages lined up to tour the Haunted House.

Eyes would open wide when those waiting in line heard the screams and commotion emitting from the dark horror they were about to enter. Lead through a dark entrance, visitors soon met with animated and live actor scary beings and sights as they wound their way through the haunted maze.

Screaming, jumping in fright or holding on to another person’s hand, visitors slowly traversed the walkway filled with different displays and characters along the way. After leaving the dark hallows – some running – most laughed while catching their breath while others wiped away a few tears.

Cal Simons is the man responsible for the holiday treat and has been entertaining Halloween trick or treaters for many years. Characters for the night are played by friends and family and Mr Simons said he started building the haunt about two weeks prior to the night.

Popularity of the event has grown over the years with visitors coming from either end of the island to visit and experience the thrill of the Haunted House.
