The Bermuda Netball Association commenced the Junior League this past weekend with a few opening words from North Village Community Club President Stephen Coddington who spoke in honor of Harold “DOC” Dowling.

Senior League Round Up

The Signworx Netts went down to the Young Men Social Club Lady Bluebirds 50 – 38. The Bluebirds were led to victory by Danielle Raynor with 44 goals, while Ebonie Burgess added 6 goals. Kimale Evans scored 14 goals for the Signworx Netts, while Jasmyn Renfroe added 12 goals and Amali Smith scored 6 times.

The WWC Pink Panthers struggled in the first quarter but put it all together in the other three periods to defeat the Robin Hood Tigers 58 – 37. Debra DeShields scored 37 goals to lead the WWC Pink Panthers to victory, while Kirsten Saltus added 21 goals. Jahkenya Trott scored 26 goals for the Robin Hood Tigers, while Jahtuere Trott added 11 goals.

The Blazin’ Bluebirds won the battle of Young Men Social Club when they defeated the Bluebirds Too 38 – 23. Fredrica Samuels scored 31 goals for the Blazin’ Bluebirds, while Miesha Greaves added 4 goals and Liante Caines scored 3 times, Keizhari Knights scored 13 goals for Bluebirds Too, T’yanna Hayward added 7 goals and Shondae Woods-Bell scored 3 timed.
