Turkey Cooking Demonstration On November 7th
Bermuda Gas will host an event this Thursday evening [Nov 7] from 5:30 to 7:30on, in which two chefs will be demonstrating how to cook a turkey, two ways.
Thursday’s event will feature Bermudian chef Antonio Belvedere, and long-time resident, Jamaican chef, Charles Henry. Each chef will demonstrate his own special way with turkey, in plenty of time for guests to try their favourite version for their own Thanksgiving or Christmas table.
In addition, each chef will prepare a turkey in advance so that guests can sample the options while watching and learning.
“We are featuring two types of turkey; one will be more traditional, while the other we are playfully calling a “jerky turkey” as we’ve invited Chef Henry to demonstrate a Jamaican-style turkey, cooked on the barbecue in the Bermuda Gas outdoor kitchen,” according to Bermuda Gas General Manager, Judith Uddin.
She added, “We are delighted to collaborate with BGA to showcase their Grace [a Jamaican brand specializing in spices, soups and beverages] and Durkee [synonymous with spices and seasonings] product lines, along with some new wines from local distributor, Pitt & Company.”
Guests will not only have a chance to learn from the chefs on November 7th, they can also taste the foods and beverages on display and take samples and recipes home with them. In addition, Bermuda Gas will raffle door prizes for the occasion.
“We are excited to host this open community event in the Bermuda Gas kitchens and look forward to welcoming everyone on November 7th. In order to cater for the correct number of people, we ask that anyone planning to attend, kindly RSVP to Cynthia Wright at 298-6141 or cwright@bermudagas.bm by Wednesday,” concluded Mrs. Uddin.
