National Trust Christmas Walkabout Is Tonight
St. George’s will become a magical winter wonderland during the annual Bermuda National Trust Christmas Walkabout taking place today [Dec 6] from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, with all invited to join in on the fun.
St George’s advocate and business owner Michelle Wales said, “The town of St. George’s from its youngest residents upwards are bracing themselves for the biggest event in the town, happening tonight.
“It is not just the hard working crew consisting of Shannon et al from the Corporation who have been working hard preparing for this evening’s event or the folks from the the National Trust, but also the children at St. George’s Prep school.
“The P2s and P3s have been beavering away for days, working hard to make decorations for the Christmas tree outside the town hall which was donated to the olde towne along with 6 other Christmas trees by Link Bermuda. This is the second year in a row that Link Bermuda has sponsored trees for the town.
“The bell choir and the main choir have been rehearsing for their performance slated to take place tonight outside the Bermuda Perfumery. The children always put on a stellar performance each year under the guidance of the talented music teacher Kim Simmons.
“In addition, several of the businesses, as well as some caring citizens have banded together to bring some cheer to the town by providing some festive banners, hanging along York Street. We are ready and waiting.”
