Tyler Smith Advances To Bahamas Final
Tyler Smith continued taking part in the Goombay Splash Bowl Junior Tennis Tournament in the Bahamas. Smith is competing in both the Girls Under 18 Singles and Doubles Divisions.
Number 3 seed Smith advanced to her second straight Final appearance in Singles when she won her Semi-Final match needing three set to defeat Bridget Forster from the United States of America.
Forster won the first set 7 – 6, but a determined Smith fought back and won the second set 6 – 4. Smith then won the third set 6 – 3 to set up a matchup against seventh ranked Elena Muller from the United States of America.
Smith and her doubles partner Nia Rose from Jamaica tasted defeat to the number one seeds Tiffany Huber and Elena Muller both from the United States of America in straight sets 4 – 2, 5 – 4.
