BASA Confirm New Short Course Swim Records
The Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association has released the updated Short Course Meter Records, following the Alex Baumann Invitational meet in Markham, Ontario, Canada and the Invitational P1 and P2 Christmas meet in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Ethan Daley set a new 11-12 Boy’s 800m Freestyle record during the Alex Baumann Invitational Meet touching the wall in a time of 10:43.84, in the Finals on December 1st, 2013, breaking Benedict Parfit’s record of 10:49.79 set on November 10th, 2007
During the Invitational P1 and P2 Christmas Meet Vanessa Esposito competing in the 15 & 16 Girls 200 Individual Medley set a new record of 2:31.11, in the Preliminaries on December 14th, 2013, breaking her own record of 2:31.28 set on November 24th, 2013.
Esposito next competed in the 15 & 16 Girls 1,500 Freestyle, she touched the wall in a new record time of 18:44.81, in the Finals on December 15th, 2013, breaking Eleanor Gardner’s record of 18:49.14 set on November 10th, 2007.
