CICD Exam Offered In Bermuda For First Time
The Institute of Directors [IoD] Bermuda branch today [Jan 28] announced that it will be hosting the four modules that need to be taken before sitting the Certificate in Company Direction [CICD] exam.
The Certificate encompasses the core knowledge and awareness that is necessary to function effectively as a director, including an in-depth view of the role, responsibilities and legal duties of a director, an understanding of the characteristics of an effective board, sound knowledge of financial terms and concepts, and the issues and processes associated with formulating strategic and business plans and achieving strategic leadership.
The courses leading to the Certificate in Company Direction are Role of the Director and the Board, Director’s Role in Strategy & Marketing, Director’s Role in Leading the Organisation, and Finance for Non-Financial Directors. The courses are being led by UK-based IoD certified instructors with extensive training in each of the specialised areas.
Face-to-face on-island courses can be supplemented with The Directors’ Knowledge toolkit to test current knowledge using the IoD’s e-learning platform with course materials, interactive exercises, an exam preparation tool, and an IoD webinar series to help delegates prepare for the Certificate in Company Direction exam.
Exams are being held in Bermuda for the first time this year on March 12, June 25, and November 12, as long as there is demand; these are the dates for the Certificate exam worldwide.

Spaces are still available for the Director’s Role in Leading the Organisation, which is set to be held on January 31 and February 1, as well as the Finance for Non-Financial Directors course being held from February 20-22.
