Endurance Appoints Ian Bowler As Senior VP
Bermuda-based Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. announced that Ian Bowler has joined the company’s London office as Senior Vice President to launch a new Professional Indemnity practice.
Mr. Bowler has more than 20 years experience in this market, having most recently built Axis Insurance’s PI portfolio. Along with Mr. Bowler, Robert Goldhawk and Ben Carter will join the company as Senior Underwriters in this new business unit, which is the first of several new London market units that the company plans to introduce this year.
Graham Evans, Chief Executive Officer of International Insurance, commented, “Ian and his team are recognized for their depth of expertise in the PI classes and have an exceptional reputation within the London market. They are the first of a number of new London market insurance teams in the pipeline for 2014 as we build out Endurance Insurance’s multi-line capabilities and international presence.”
Mr. Bowler joins Endurance from Axis Insurance where he managed their PI business as Professional Indemnity Manager since 2010. Prior to that, Mr. Bowler was a PI Underwriter at QBE Insurance for 17 years, underwriting all classes of PI and specializing in Construction & Surveyors PI. He started his career at Aegon Insurance and holds a BSc degree from The University of Hampshire.
