In Motion Dancers Win Gold Awards In Florida
Dancers from the In Motion Dance Company represented Bermuda at the Nuvo Dance Competition in Florida this weekend, and impressed the judges with their routines capturing High Gold and Gold Awards.
The competition was held in Orlando, Florida from January 3 – 5th; and the dancers did a group piece, a duet and also a solo performance, picking up multiple awards in the international field.
Lyndsey Arorash received a Gold Award for her solo performance, the dance school received a Gold Award for their group performance, while Jada Pearman and Taylor Railton received a High Gold for their duet.
In Motion Director Liz Pimental explained they took a group of dancers for the first time last year to expose them to new opportunities and experiences, and decided to go back again this year.
“It’s time to start branching overseas,” said Ms Pimental. “Bermuda is a small place, but we work hard and it pays off.”
Both Ms Pimental and Candice Mussleman praised the support they received locally during the competition, saying that locals were following along online and cheering them on during the event.
