Video: Nahki Wells Scores Again For Huddersfield

[Updated: Wells scores in the 68th minute, marking his second goal since joining the team. His was the lone goal for Huddersfield Town, who lost 2-1 to QPR. Video added.]

Nahki Wells has made his first start for Huddersfield Town today [Jan 18], as the Championship League side matches up against promotion contenders Queen’s Park Rangers.

Wells has some supporters present, as according to the team’s Twitter feed, at least two Bermuda flags are visible in the crowd.

Last week the 23 year old Bermudian was transferred to Huddersfield Town, which paid a new club record transfer fee exceeding their old one of £1.2 million [$2 million] set in 1996.

The former Dandy Town striker made his debut for the team the day after he signed, coming on as a substitute in the second half and scoring the game winning goal in the last seconds of the game.

Today’s game is still underway, with the score at 0-0 as of this writing.  We will update as able.

Update 12.37pm: Wells scores for the second game in a row! In the 68th minute he found the back of the net to pull Huddersfield to 1-1.

Update 12.42pm: QPR scores, takes the lead again. The game is now 2-1

Update 1.02pm: The game has ended with QPR winning 2-1.

    My first ever football game in London with my Bermuda Flag jumping out of my seat it was a joy to see it brought tears to my eyes when Nahki Wells scored and i waited after the game to take photo with the Nahki and all of the Bermuda Fans So Proud of you Nahki you bring hope to all the Young Boys in Bermuda I will always reminder this day for the rest of my life.
