Bermuda Open Golf Championships Day #2
The second round of the 2014 Bermuda Open Championships was completed yesterday [Mar 25] at Port Royal Golf Course.
In the Open Championship flight, Glenn Joyner from Australia was first out this morning and returned a 2 under par 69 which was the best score of the day.
He now lies in sole first position, closely pursued by Justin Regier who is three shots back after shooting even par. Michael Simms shares second place after 1 over 72 today, while Dwayne Pearman lies in fourth place 7 shots behind the leader.
In the Open Championship Amateur Division, Jarryd Dillas extended his lead by shooting a 5 over par 76 which puts him 6 shots ahead of Shannon Trott. Mark Phillips is in third place but some 10 strokes behind the leader.
The First Flight saw some movement today as Ian Page moved up the leaderboard in to 1st place after scoring 80. The overnight leader Andrew Trott came in with an 87 which dropped him in to third place allowing Keith Trott to move in to second position, two strokes off the lead.
The 3rd round of the Bermuda Open Championships will not be played today due to the gale force wins, and play will resume tomorrow will 36 holes with tee times starting at 7.30am.
