Golf: Junior Glidden Bowl Second Round Results

The second round of the Junior Glidden Bowl was completed yesterday [Apr 10] at The Riddell’s Bay Golf Club. Good weather allowed for better scoring opportunities for the juniors and they take advantage of it. In each of the age groups, the leaders were able to maintain their positions with very impressive scoring.

In the 16 to 18 year age group, Lewis Daley fired a 68 which included three birdies and an eagle. Lewis made the turn at four under par with two birdies and an eagle on the front nine. He leads the pack in his age group on 143 total with Evan Watkins on 172 total, shooting 84 on the day.

Brady Cordeiro leads the 13 to 15 age group shooting a 75 on the day, giving him a two day total of 153. Birdies on the 3rd and 18th helped Brady maintain an 8 stroke lead over Alex Mason who carded a 75 on the day. Alex’s two day total is 161.

Kenny Leseur kept up with his dominance in the Red Tee group with a score of 86. His two day total is 168. In the red tee [6 hole] novice group, Spencer Young shot 36 and maintains his lead over Ethan Soares who shot 39. Spencer’s two day total is 69, 14 strokes ahead of Ethan on 83.

The third round will take place today [Apr 11].
