Nahki Wells & Huddersfield Draw With Brighton
Nahki Wells and his Huddersfield teammates took on Brighton today [Apr 18] at John Smith’s Stadium, claiming a point in a 1-1 tie.
Huddersfield opened the scoring with a hard strike from Norwood off of a free kick from range, putting the ball past Brighton keeper Kusczak to go up 1-0 in the sixth minute.
In the 25th minute, a head from a corner by Brighton’s Ulloa appeared to equalise the game, but a penalty against the player for fouling Hudderfield’s Gerrard negated the goal.
Brighton finally notched a goal in the 82nd minute, with Bruno claiming the ball and firing past Huddersfield keeper Smithies in the box to tie the game 1-1.
The teams traded some chances, but no one else was able to find the back of the net, allowing the match to finish at a 1-1 tie, earning Nahki Wells and Huddersfield a single point.
Huddersfield Town’s next match will see them meet with Yeovil on Saturday, April 21 at Huish Park.
