Tennis: Bermuda Fed Cup Team Ready for Action
The Bermuda Fed Cup Tennis Team have arrived at the Palmas Tennis Club in Humacao, Puerto Rico in preparation for the upcoming Fed Cup Americas Zone Group 2 Event.
The team of Tyler Smith, Jacklyn Lambert, Cayla Cross, Tara Lambert, Caitlin Gordon, Kirstin Saltus and Taylor McHarg along Terry Smith as Coach/Captain arrived at the Courts for a daily training session.
The Fed Cup Americas Zone Group 2 Event will officially get underway, Wednesday April 9th, with the Captain’s meeting and draw on Tuesday, April 8th.
Facility preparations for all teams are in full swing. The Club boasts 20 Hard courts, plus clay and carpet surfaced courts. There are also a full service Pro Shop, a Fitness Center and a Tiki Restaurant/Bar on site.
The Bermuda team has settled in comfortably and are getting used to the somewhat high temperatures and the fast tennis courts at the Club.
