Kyle Webb Breaks Bermuda Jr 400m Record
Two Bermuda men competing at the NJCAA Region I Track and Field Championships at Mesa Community College in Arizona this week recorded strong finishes, with one breaking a Bermuda record.
BNAA President Donna Watson said, “Kyle Webb broke the Bermuda junior record in the 400m, running a time of 46.89 and placing first in the heats, then placing first again in a time of 46.91. The previous record was held by Shaquille Dill with a time of 47.16.
“On top of this performance, Kyle also won the 200m in a time of 21.19, placing first in that event, as well.
“Bruce Degrilla ran a time of 10.94 in the 100m heats and placed eighth in the finals in a time of 11.07. Bruce also placed second in the long jump with a leap of 7.50m; the first place finisher jumped 7.53m.
“Bruce and Kyle were representing Central Arizona State College.”
