Powerboat Racing In Dockyard Today At 1pm
The Bermuda Powerboat Association will be hosting the first race of the Tripod Series today [May 4] in Dockyard with racing scheduled to get underway at 1pm.
The race season kicked off in April with the first Season Points Race being held at Ferry Reach. Today’s race in Dockyard is part of the Tripod Series which will also see racing in Hamilton and St George’s Harbours. Below is a schedule for all upcoming races in the 2014 season.

This is great to see!But as we know we are in trying times and this is an exspensive sport.
It would be nice to see some main sponsors step up and assist with offsetting some of the cost for the owners.
maybe duty releif, maybe cash prizes at the end of the year so owners can recoup some of there funds.etc etc..
I wish they would but the reality of it is that they wouldn’t support something that is a positive influence on our youth but they would support something that is gonna make more money for themselves. I’m an offroad rc car driver an they barely help us with our sport and we are doing it for the youth and adults. Smh
