Video: Ferry Tries To Take Passenger To Ship

May 19, 2014

A few cruise ship passengers were left to fly home to the United States after an attempt to use a ferry to take them to their cruise ship — which had already departed — was aborted for safety reasons.

In a video posted by the Port Bermuda Webcam on YouTube, the video description said, “Tug Faithful attempts to ferry a late passenger to an already departed Norwegian Breakaway at the Royal Naval Dockyard, however the transfer was aborted for safety reasons and the passenger [along with two others] will have to fly home to New York.”

When the cruise officials give you the time of ships departure, be sure and be there at least half hour to 45 minutes beforehand or chances are you will be left behind. Too bad but I bet a lesson well learned for next time. Hope you enjoyed your stay here in Bermuda.

althought it is a nice jesture!to try to help someone out ! Heads should roll! there is a procedure to boarding for the safety of all passengers and crew!althought unlikely but in this day and age anything can happen! further more should and accident occur resulting in the passenger that is boarding’s death or injuries you can be pretty sure that the government will be sued as it is a government tug boat with government employees ! heads please!
