A number of cricket games took place this past weekend [June 7/8], with Somerset Cricket Club, Bailey’s Bay, Willow Cuts, Western Stars, and Devonshire Recreation Club all recording wins.
Premier Division
Somerset Cricket Club Win by 5 Wickets: Southampton Rangers 168/8 Somerset Cricket Club 170/5
At the Southampton Oval, this game was reduced twice the final time was a 35 over affair. Southampton Rangers struggled against some tight Somerset Cricket Club bowling and they could only score 168/8 in their 35 overs. Dion Stovell was the top scorer with 47, while Justin Corday led the Somerset Cricket Club bowling attack returning figures of 5-0-35-2.
In reply Jordan DeSilva scored 76 and Dennico Hollis added 48 as the Somerset Cricket Club scored 170/5. Derrick Brangman was the pick of the Southampton Rangers bowlers with figures of 6-1-17-4.

In reply, Cleveland County were bowled all out for 121. Adrian Burrows was the top scorer with 51, while Kavon Fubler led the Willow Cuts bowling attack with figures of 7-1-17-3.

Western Stars Win by 117 Runs: Western Stars 199/5 PHC 82
