Notice To Mariners For Monday’s Comet Race
The Director of the Department of Marine and Ports Services issued a Notice to Mariners in advance of the West End Sailboat Club’s Annual Comet Race which will be held on Monday, June 16th.
The notice said, “The West End Sailboat Club will host the annual long distance comet sailboat race from St. Georges to Somerset on Monday June 16th, 2014.

“The race will start at 11:00 a.m. in St. George’s Harbour and will end approximately 3 hours later in the Great Sound at Watford Island in Somerset.
“Mariners are advised to give adequate clearance and minimal wake when in the vicinity of the racing comets.”
