Bermuda Baseball Team Win One, Lose One

ball140704Bermuda’s Cal Ripken All-Stars team are now 1 & 1 on their tour to Marlboro Massachusetts with an 7 – 4 loss to Burlington.

The Bermuda team found themselves up 1 – 0 after the First Inning and after going scoreless in the Second Inning they allowed 4 runs in the bottom half of the inning to fall behind 4 – 1. In the top of the Third Bermuda scored 3 runs to draw level, but Burlington was able to plate a run in the bottom half of the Inning to take a 5 – 4 lead after three.

Burlington would score another 2 runs in the 5th to take a 7 – 4 lead and then they would deny Bermuda any runs in the top of the 6th to earn the win.

The team had opened their tour to Marlboro, Massachusetts with an 8 – 7 win over Hudson.

The Bermuda team found themselves down 3 – 0 after the first inning and after going scoreless in the second inning they took the lead in the top of the third with 4 runs, but Hudson was able to plate a run in the bottom half of theiInning as the teams were locked at 4 – 4 after three.

Hudson would score another run in the 4th to take a 5 – 4 lead, but Bermuda would breakout with another 4 runs in the top of the 5th to take a 8 – 5 lead and then they were able to hold Hudson to two runs in the bottom of the 6th to record the win.

Alex Bordage and Nasje Brokington led the team with 3 Hits, Jack Martin had 3RBI’s while Sam Resnik added 2.
