BFIS Summer Interns Make Presentations
On July 28, the Bermuda Foundation for Insurance Studies [BFIS] Overseas Summer Interns made presentations to about 40 students and insurance professionals on what they learned after being immersed in the insurance sectors in Atlanta, Chicago, and London for two weeks earlier in July.
“This was a wonderful, life-changing opportunity,” said one intern. “These two weeks spent learning from so many industry leaders was thoroughly enjoyable and fascinating. I feel very lucky to have had this chance and I am incredibly grateful for all that BFIS has done to make this possible.”

A spokesperson said, “After the presentations, BFIS Chairman Michael Fisher noted that each year BFIS uses the students’ feedback to further improve the programmes. He went on to thank the XL Foundation, sponsor of the overseas programmes and the many professionals from the hosting companies who gave their time to meet with the students passing on valuable insights into the industry.
