Football U/17: Bermuda Lose 2-0 To Colombia

The Bermuda U/17 football team continues competing in the Mexico Cup of Nations, going down to Colombia by a score of 2 – 0.

Bermuda’s starting line-up was Nathan Trott, Kacy Butterfield, Jerome Bailey, Zenawi Bowen, Tahzeiko Harris, Azende Furbert, Aaron Burgess, Amar Lewis, Osagi Bascome, Judah Chapman, and Oneko Lowe, while the substitutes were Ahria Simons, Jason Symonds, Jomari Gooden, Lleniko Millett, Maquille Walker, Jomei Bean-Lindo, and Wiliam Spencer.

The Colombian goals were scored by Edward Bolaños in the 8th minute, and Edwin Cetre in the 53rd minute, resulting in Colombia advancing to the next round, while Bermuda bowed out of the competition.

Colombia could have won the match 3-0, as in the 41st minute Colombia were awarded a penalty, however Bermuda’s keeper Nathan Trott made a big save to prevent another goal by the South Americans.
