College Tag Day Proceeds To Benefit Students
The first Bermuda College Tag Day was held recently as part of the College’s year-long 40th anniversary celebrations. His Excellency the Governor, George Fergusson received the first tag from BC President, Dr. Duranda Greene at Government House.
Forty-six Bermuda College employees, students and a host of friends and well-wishers volunteered to tag for the College at various pharmacies, grocery stores, banks, and retail stores for between one and four hours at a time, over a two-day period.
Organisers said they were gratified by the outpouring of support, encouragement and donations from members of the public. In excess of $8,500 was raised for student scholarships and awards.
