Submarine Crew Member Brought To Bermuda
Yesterday morning [Sept 25] a U.S. Navy submarine came approximately three miles east of Bermuda to transfer a crew member.
A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson said, “A US Navy Submarine calls to the Deep Draught Position approximately 3 miles east of the Island. The submarine calls to conduct a crew member transfer on humanitarian grounds.
“Bermuda Radio coordinates the transfer of the crewman from the Navy vessel to the Pilot Boat St George. A waiting taxi at Ordnance Island in St Georges takes the US Navy Sailor to the airport.”
Hopefully the crewmember is okay. As Commodore of BBIRYC, I’d like to thank the men and women of the submariner fleet in the US Navy for making the oceans a safer place for fine yachtsmen like myself and my fellow members of BBIRYC.
Hopefully the members aren’t as much of a racist ******* as you are. Thinking your better than than the rest of Bermuda boaters. Your club means nothing. Just a over priced place to tie your boat to.
What is BBIRYC? I assume it is Baileys Bay something or other.
Its a club for elite Bermudians who own lots of shiny s***.
No answer after a day. Must be a club that exists soley in his mind.
Rise to the occasion boys…this is a seaman in need …take him to mariners club!
