Slideshow: Senior Magistrate Warner Retires

Governor George Fergusson joined members of the legal fraternity at Magistrates Court today [Oct 15} where Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner was recognised on his retirement after fourteen years in the position.

Mr Warner will continue to serve as a Magistrate for a further two years, however Juan Wolffe will serve as Senior Magistrate with effect from 20 October 2014.

The Governor previously said, “I would like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to his enormous public service as the Senior Magistrate for the past 14 years – an extraordinary record.”

The appointment of Senior Magistrate is made by the Governor after consultation with the Judicial and Legal Services Committee [JLSC].
