Photos: “Turmoil” Diverts To Island For Repairs
The Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre received correspondence yesterday [Oct 6] from the 64 metre motor yacht Turmoil indicating the vessel was diverting to Bermuda due to water ingress through an exhaust outlet.
Turmoil arrived safely in St. George’s Harbour this morning and is now berthed at Pennos Wharf.
Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson said, “On Monday 6th October 10:18pm an email was received from the 64 metre motor yacht Turmoil, eleven crew on board, 150nm south of Bermuda, enroute from Gibraltar to West Palm Beach, USA, advising their intention to divert to Bermuda due to water ingress through an exhaust outlet.
“Vessel integrity and maneuverability is not affected and the yacht is due to arrive in St George’s at 10am on Tuesday morning for repairs.”
