Baseball: YAO Fall League Weekend Results
Big Red have leveled the Fall Ball Season Series at 2 – 2 against the Blue Jays after recording a 16 – 8 win this past weekend.
Alex Downey led Big Red with 3 hits that resulted in 5RBI’s, Jannis Roberts also chipped in driving in 3 runs.
Big Red started off with 5 runs in the top of the 1st, but the Blue Jays would close within three in the bottom half of the inning scoring twice.
Big Red added a single run in the top of the second and third innings to take a 7 – 2 lead, yet again the Blue Jays would fight back, they would score 3 runs in the bottom half of the third inning to make the score 7 – 5.
After shutting out Big Red in the top of the fourth, the Blue Jays pulled within one scoring 1 run in the bottom of the Inning, but Big Red would score 4 runs in the top of the fifth and then restricted the Blue Jays to 2 runs making the score 11 – 8 with one inning to play.
In the top of the final inning Big Red scored 5 runs and then shutout the Blue Jays in the bottom of the inning.
