Work Disrupts Middle Rd, Southampton Traffic
Work being done by BELCO today [Nov 5] on Middle Road in Southampton has required excavation in the eastbound lane, with traffic lights remaining in place until work is completed and the roadway is restored tomorrow afternoon [Nov 6].
A BELCO spokesperson said, “BELCO wishes to advise motorists that crews are working on Middle Road, Southampton near Waterlot Hill due to an underground transmission cable fault, which requires excavation in the eastbound lane.
“Traffic lights are in place and will remain in place until work is completed and the road restored late Thursday afternoon.
“BELCO thanks motorists for their cooperation, as this emergency repair work is carried out.”
Hope they put the road back in the condition they found it or better. There really needs to be a law about that, if there is, it really needs to be enforced.
