New Senior’s Day Care Service Opens

Eden’s Senior’s Day Care Service, a new senior’s day care service, has opened in Warwick. The business, located at 6 Wellman Lane, Camp Road in Warwick, said they provide another option for individuals in need of day care services for their female elderly family members at affordable prices.

Eden’s owner, Ms Suzanne James, a Registered Nurse Assistant [RNA], decided to open the business after noticing a need in the community for more affordable options for seniors’ day care.

Ms James said, “The senior homes on the island are providing an invaluable service to the community. However, I saw that there was still a need in this area. Being that I love to work with people, especially seniors, I created Eden’s so that I could offer personalized services to my clients. Eden’s offers an intimate, safe and private environment.”

“I’m currently taking up to three clients, so I can ensure they get the individualized attention they deserve and do things they may miss doing.”

Ms James, who previously worked as a Desktop Support Analyst at AIG/AWC for 28 years, changed careers after being made redundant from her post in 2010.

She said, “Being made redundant was a blessing in disguise. It opened my eyes and was the push I needed to follow my passion. I went back to school and got my certification in a field where I could help others.”

After becoming a Certified RNA from Bermuda College in 2012, Ms James worked, at two private residents for the pass two and half years and part-time at a nursing home. She was excited when she decided to open Eden’s.

Eden’s Senior Day Care is open from 7:45am to 5:30pm [times can be flexible], Monday to Friday and provides individualized care, weekly outings and daily activities. Client pick-up and drop off as well as transportation are also available.
