Digicel Helps With Golden Milers Seniors Lunch
Today [Dec 4], Digicel staff members helped to serve lunch to seniors at the Salvation Army Golden Milers luncheon, with special service catering to over 100 seniors at the Salvation Army on North Street.
Continuing a tradition of community service, Digicel assisted with preparing the kitchen before serving the seniors. Additionally, each attending senior received a Digicel gift basket containing essentials and an item donated by a member of staff.
“Our theme for the holidays is ‘Together, we make Christmas better,’ and this is just one of several community activities in which Digicel will be involved this season,” stated Digicel CEO, Alistair Beak.
Mr. Beak continued, “We have had the pleasure of serving food at Salvation Army events in the past so we were keen to assist them again this year. Today’s luncheon was especially a treat because we were able to interact with the seniors, who had such interesting stories to share.”
