Man Admits Possessing Over $20K Of Cannabis
Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [Dec 19], a 41-year-old man pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis which the court heard had a street value of over $20,000.
Devonshire resident Ijah Richardson pleaded guilty to possessing 423 grams of cannabis said to have a street value of $21,150, with the Court also hearing he was in possession of scissors, a digital scale, a grinder, and syringes.
Prosecutor Ms Cindy Clarke told Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo that Mr Richardson had told police that he was dealing in drugs in order to supplement his income and support his children.
The Magistrate ordered Social inquiry and BARC reports and advised Mr Richardson the he should get his affairs in order and “anticipate a loss of liberty.”
The Magistrate granted Mr Richardson bail of $10,000, required him to surrender his travel documents, ordered him to report regularly to a police station, and required him to return to Court for sentencing in February 2015.

At least the Magistrate showed compassion and bailed him.
Hopefully the guilty party with get things in order.
May his Christmas be good because 2015 might see some loss of liberty.
Shalom.
Legalize the cannabis, it kills cancer and heals over 300 diseases!
Stop criminalizing the CURE!!!!!!!!!!
Does smoking herb cure cancer ?
don’t ask anyone here …do your research all relevant information is available…but if you don’t search for it the truth will never be know to you.
start with this: http://www.hightimes.com/read/congress-effectively-ends-federal-ban-medical-marijuana
oh n by the way…why do you think they have made it possible to receive radiation therapy here in bermuda now….last ditch effort before med.mari. kicks in with full effect…lots for you to learn…come on people catch up…or be left behind.
You have to wonder though. Why is it that rich people, who obviously know all about this secret that cannabis cures cancer, don’t use it themselves? Why do CEO’s, for example, sometimes get cancer and die of it just like everyone else? If cannabis cures cancer, and they know it, and they’re just keeping it away from us to make money, why is it that really really rich people don’t use cannabis to cure their own cancer?
Obviously you know the answer Keepin It. It must be on the internet somewhere. Explain it to us, would you?
There are apparently people living on Mars as well. True story, it’s apparently on the internet somewhere.
and you sir are a living testament to that theory…
No really. If it’s on the internet it’s obviously real.
No, but it helps to greatly relieve or reduce side effects of chemo and pain in cancer patients. That is good enough reason to legalize for medical. That said its the consumption of the oil itself which shows success in killing cancer cells.
How is 423 grams of weed worth $21150 in this case and 1000 grams worth about the same amount in the alleged case of the pregnant woman?
I went back and looked and that’s true he had less than half of what she had……
IN THE CASE ABOVE:
“Devonshire resident Ijah Richardson pleaded guilty to possessing 423 grams of cannabis said to have a street value of $21,150″
IN THE CASE OF THE PREGNANT WOMAN REPORTED TO BE IN COURT YESTERDAY:
“The Prosecutor told the Magistrate that the alleged amount of the illegal substance was alleged to be over 1,100 grams, which they said had a street value just over $19,600.”
She went to court on the 18th and here he is in court the next day and the street values are this different?
Does anyone have any insight into this disparity?

@What
I was wondering the same thing myself. Are these folk selling their product in different areas of the island or something? SMH
Most likely a higher grade therefore more expensive.
From what I hear $20.000 Dollars worth od Weed is about enough to fill a 4 x 5 Zip Lock bag. and only has 150 smokes LOL’ – - If found Guilty he will recive 3 – 5 years in or Correctional System – this adds up to an average of $120,000 to
240,000 Dollars — now who got the sentence him or us. — $$$$$$$$$$$$$ were going to get burnt again!
His real sentence should be 20,000 hours of free work, cleaning, painting,Govt.Facilitys and property.
and a $20.000 fine – $500 paid to the Courts every Month. – this way we the people make money off his stupidity
not the other war around.
you know they’re gonna go for the $240,000 rather than a mere $20,000…it’s all a revenue game…just like monopoly…you can play but just don’t land in the wrong spot…
Rookies lol still have it in your house real bright now u see no light
the cbd compound can help cancer patients, and its good for your body, other than that, smoking anything is bad, marijuana is harmless if you vaporize it, healthiest way to smoke, you can keep locking people up, keep finding a bush here and there, but the war on cannabis is b.s and impossible to stop, but at least it isn’t life altering, like alcohol,if cannabis were legal, guys would be too chipped to fight each other, it would be a lot more peaceful, lol
