Video: Retired Local Firefighter On US News
Arthur Raynor, a 31-year veteran Firefighter/EMT [retired] with the Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service, was recently appointed as the Senior Fire Safety Education Specialist with The Atlanta Fire Rescue Department [AFRD], with one of his latest efforts seeing him filmed by a local TV news station as he performed a school fire safety show.
Regarding his Atlanta-based post, Mr. Raynor said, “I have passed the four month mark for my Fire Safety Education Specialist job and I have reached a few milestones, including getting certified as a Level 1 & 2 Juvenile Fire Setter Intervention Specialist.
“My Fire Prevention Show has been presented to over 10,000 elementary school age children.”

“Most recently, after completing a 40 hour course, I received certification as a Level 1 & 2 Fire & Life Safety Educator with Daycare provision, which allows me to teach the required Fire Safety course to daycare owners and staff providers.”
Mr. Raynor and his Atlanta team members are responsible for providing fire safety education services to schools, businesses, civic groups, and the general public in an effort to reduce the incidences of fire and increase the saving of lives and property.
