Severe Weather Cancels Some Bermuda Flights

January 26, 2015

Severe winter weather conditions forecast for the eastern seaboard have caused some Bermuda flights to be canceled, with the storm expected to effect the northeastern United States and eastern Canada tomorrow [Jan 27].

According to Weather.gov, “A storm system off the East Coast will continue to strengthen as it develops into a major nor’easter on Monday. As the storm moves up the coast, it is expected to bring snowfall of 1-3 feet or more to many parts of the Northeast through Tuesday evening, including New York City and Boston.

“Strong, gusty winds will combine with the snow to create blizzard conditions along and near the coast.”

As of 11.00am today [Jan 26], the following flights have been cancelled due to the forecast severe weather on the eastern seaboard:

  • January 26, 2015 – Delta DL1773 BDA-JFK.
  • January 27. 2015 – Delta DL561/560 BOS-BDA-BOS

As more cancellations are possible, travelers are urged to check directly with their airlines.
