20 Year Old Denies Assaulting Police Officer
Appearing in Magistrates Court today [Jan 22], a 20-year-old man admitted speeding, while denying other offences including assaulting a police office.
Jokeem Richardson pleaded guilty to having no drivers license and speeding in August 2014; but pleaded not guilty to another set of alleged offences.
Richardson pleaded not guilty to taking a Yamaha cycle without the owner’s permission; stealing a license plate; assaulting a police officer; failing to stop for police; and fraudulently using a license plate.
Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo fined Mr Richardson a total of $450 for the two offences to which Mr Richardson pleaded guilty, and set trial in April on the not guilty pleas. The Magistrate set bail at $3,000 with one surety.
