Man Remanded Into Custody On Stalking Charge
Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [Jan 21], a 25- year-old man was remanded into custody after pleading not guilty to allegedly stalking a woman. The charges alleged that he had intruded on the privacy of the woman and stalked her.
Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo ordered that the defendant — who cannot legally be named at this stage of the proceedings – be remanded into custody, and also ordered that whilst in custody, he was to be interviewed and assessed under the Mental Health Act.
The man will be brought back to Court for mention on 4th February.
