Flora Duffy Does It Again: Wins In South Africa
[Updated] Bermuda’s Flora Duffy continues her unbeatable form, this time racing to victory in the 2015 Cape Town ATU Sprint Triathlon African Cup in South Africa today [Feb 15].
Duffy finished the swim in 10.00, the bike portion in 35:51 and the run in 21:52 to cross the line in a time of 1:08:49. South Africa’s Lauren Dance was second in a time of 1:09:23, while Japan’s Aoi Kuramoto was third in a time of 1:09:31.
This is Duffy’s second international win of the year, following after her victory in the XTERRA Off Road Triathlon in Philippines last weekend.
The two-time Olympian also had a remarkable year in 2014, winning the XTERRA World Championship in Hawaii in October, and dominating the XTERRA circuit throughout the year, winning titles in Utah, South Africa, Nevada, Australia and Alabama.
