Flora Duffy Qualifies For World Championships
After being crowned the champion in the recently concluded Ironman 70.3 South Africa, Bermuda’s Flora Duffy has officially qualified for a slot in the World Championships in November, a notable achievement as she has already claimed multiple world titles with other triathlon entities including Xterra and the ITU.
Duffy’s most recent accomplishment retired her stature as a world class athlete, as the victory was a commanding one, seeing her finish some two minutes ahead of the second-place finisher.
Following the victory and subsequent World Championships qualification, Ms. Duffy said, “And just like that I did my first 70.3! The big goal was to qualify a slot for the World Championships in November, which I did.”
