Kardias Club To Host Wine & Exotic Beer Tasting
The Kardias Club will be hosting a “sophisticated night of elegance with a down to earth feel” when they hold their exotic wine and beer tasting on Friday [Feb 13] at Urban Cottage on Front Street.
A spokesperson said, “The Kardias Club invites the public to a sophisticated night of elegance with a down to earth feel as we enjoy a wonderful evening tasting exotic wine and beer.
“The night represents a wonderful way to kick off Valentine’s weekend in style for a couple, a girl or guys night out or simply a cool way to enjoy a Friday evening in style and for a worthy cause. Join us at Urban Cottage, 11 Front Street, and give to a worthy cause.
“We welcome your support. We focus on assisting women and children in our community every year. We have been giving for more than 60 years.
“The Kardias Club is a well-established Woman’s group and registered Charity #51 which has been supporting the community of Bermuda Since its inception in 1964. The name “Kardias” was taken from the Greek words “Kardia” and Kardiakos” which mean heart.
“Amongst our contributions to the island is the Intensive Care Unit at King Edward VII, the Packwood Home, Child’s Wish, Bermuda Autism Support and Education Society, The Family Centre, the Fight for Life Foundation, the Sunshine League Children’s Home, Bermuda Islands Association for the Deaf as our 2008 recipients and the Bermuda Sloop Foundation and Spirit of Bermuda, to name a few.
